About Legal Tech Lab:

The University of Helsinki Legal Tech Lab is a research hub that examines law, technology and society. The Lab’s objective is three-fold: to define what legal digitalisation in its various forms truly means, to develop best practices for sustainable digitalisation and to experiment with new technological tools. Since its creation in 2016, the Lab’s work has strongly emphasised the need to open up law and to establish a network for debates on legal tech. We provide a neutral forum for dialogue between all different stakeholders from lawyers and programmers to academics and policymakers. The Lab’s main annual activities are the Legal Tech Con conference organised in Helsinki in June (save the date 8.6.2018) and Hack the Law! Innovation competition in October.
